With a mere few hours left for the counting of votes for the Lok Sabha Elections 2024, political parties across the arena are gearing up for celebrations, hopeful for victory. While the Congress party kickstarted preparations with a huge setup at their headquarters, the BJP moved a step further with their victory celebration plans. In line with the BJP's "Ab ki baar 400 paar" slogan, BJP Karyakartas in Bihar prepared 400 kg of laddoos to celebrate the party's anticipated victory in the Lok Sabha Elections 2024.
A video depicting party Karyakartas hailing Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership while chanting the BJP's "Ab Ki Baar 400 Paar" slogan has been circulating widely. It also showed the preparations being done ahead of the completion of the order.
Further, apart from the wide preparations being done in Bihar, similar prepartions to celebrate BJP's victory is also being carried out in Varanasi. A video from Varanasi is also circulating on X (formerly Twitter), showing a group of women singing 'Modi Bhajans' and preparing laddoos ahead of the counting of votes for the Lok Sabha polls tomorrow (June 4).
Meanwhile, it is pertinent to note that the counting of votes for the Lok Sabha Elections 2024, held in seven phases across the country, will be conducted tomorrow (June 4). As announced by the Election Commission of India earlier, the counting of votes for the 543 parliamentary seats will begin at 8 AM and is expected to continue until all votes across the constituencies are counted by the poll body.
Significantly, ahead of the vote counting, security measures have been tightened across the centers where the polling was held.
On security arrangements ahead of the counting of votes, DCP Central, Devesh Kumar Mahla said, "The strong room cum counting centres have been given certain guidelines by the Election Commission of India. Keeping the guidelines in mind, the police force is deployed. Adequate CAPF personnel are deployed...Restrictions of the MCC are still in place...Reserve forces have also been kept."
Further, on the security arrangements in Uttar Pradesh, which constitutes a maximum of 80 seats in Parliament, Uttar Pradesh DGP Prashant Kumar said, "Counting of votes is to be done in 81 places out of a total of 75 districts. There are some districts where 2 counting centres have been set up, and police arrangements have been made keeping in view of all those circumstances. The arrangement of forces has been done according to the instructions of the Election Commission of India. The arrangement of forces is in three tiers. The innermost cordon will be managed by the Central Security Force, the middle cordon will be equipped by the PAC, and the outermost cordon will be manned by the local police. The 7-phase elections were conducted in a peaceful, fair, and violence-free manner, and this time no incident related to electoral violence has taken place."
