Celebrities are participating enthusiastically to cast their votes in the 5th phase of Lok Sabha elections. Voting is underway for the fifth phase of the 2024 Lok Sabha Elections today. Voters queued up outside a polling booth across the nation. From high-profile constituency seats of Uttar Pradesh such as Rae Bareli and Amethi to six seats from Maharashtra's Mumbai, this phase holds an important significance.  Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani, his wife and founder of Reliance Foundation Nita Ambani, and son Akash Ambani also joined the list of voters. 

After casting a vote, Founder and Chairperson of Reliance Foundation Nita Ambani says, "It is important as an Indian citizen to vote. It is our right & responsibility to vote. I urge everyone to go out and exercise their right to vote." Mukesh Ambani too urged everyone to vote for the ongoing Lok Sabha elections.

Film fraternity including Amitabh Bachchan, Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar, Ranbir Kapoor, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone, Madhuri Dixit, Pran, Jeetendra, Shraddha Kapoor too was spotted at the polling booth in Mumbai. 

This phase of the elections covers six Lok Sabha constituencies in Mumbai including, Mumbai North, Mumbai North West, Mumbai North East, Mumbai North Central, Mumbai South, and Mumbai South Central. Additionally, constituencies in Maharashtra like Dhule, Dindori, Nashik, Kalyan, Palghar, Bhiwandi, and Thane are also participating. Maharashtra, with 48 Lok Sabha seats, is the second-largest state in terms of parliamentary constituencies after Uttar Pradesh.

In Maharashtra, major political parties, which are at loggerheads in the polls include Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), and Congress Party (INDI Alliance). The 2024 Lok Sabha Elections are being conducted in seven phases from April 19 to June 1, and have been marked by significant voter engagement. The final results are scheduled to be announced on June 4.
