Viral video: As several parts of North India are reeling under an intense heatwave with temperatures touching 45 degrees Celsius, a Border Security Force (BSF) jawan showcased the intensity of the heat by roasting papad on the hot sand near the border in Rajasthan's Bikaner.

The video has gone viral on social media platforms. This video has been getting a lot of attention. The video captures the jawan placing a papad onto the scorching sand for a few seconds. He then reveals the perfectly roasted, crispy snack, emphasising the intense heat prevailing in the region.

Bikaner has been reeling under an intense heat wave with temperatures crossing 45 degrees Celsius. According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), the maximum temperature recorded on Wednesday is 46.4 degrees Celsius. 

For the next three days, the weather department has predicted severe heatwave conditions in Alwar, Bharatpur, Dausa, Dholpur, Jaipur, Jhunjhunu, Karauli, Sikar, Barmer, Bikaner, Churu, Hanumangarh, Jaisalmer, Jodhpur, Nagaur and Ganganagar. The  Met Department has also issued a ‘red alert’ for Delhi and parts of Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh.
