On Monday, PM Modi left netizens baffled with a tweet that announced that he was thinking of quitting all his social media profiles coming Sunday. "This Sunday, thinking of giving up my social media accounts on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram & YouTube. Will keep you all posted,'' wrote PM Modi in a tweet.

Now, in another, well-timed tweet, he has revealed the reason behind his previous post, PM Modi tweeted, ''This Women's Day, I will give away my social media accounts to women whose life & work inspire us. This will help them ignite motivation in millions. Are you such a woman or do you know such inspiring women? Share such stories using #SheInspiresUs''.

International Women's Day is celebrated on March 8 which is falling on Sunday this year. Hence, on this day, women will be posting on behalf of PM from his different social media accounts. PM Modi has millions of followers on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube.

PM Modi's tweet was met with different reactions. While many urged him to not quit social media, former Congress president Rahul Gandi reacted by saying, "Give up hatred, not social media accounts". Several memes are also floating on the internet on PM Modi's sudden announcement.
