Indians are everywhere and so is Paneer Tikka! Well, yes you read that right. Recently the Indian dish blew everyone's mind after it started trending on Twitter amidst the ongoing United States presidential elections. It has left many netizens baffled that why suddenly this yummy treat has found a place on the top trends of the social media platform.
So, here we are to put an end to your curiosity once and for all. Actually, Indian-American Congresswoman, Pramila Jayapal recently uploaded a picture of a paneer (cottage cheese) dish prepared by her in the honour of the ace politician Kamala Harris. She posted the photo of it as "any kind of tikka" is Kamala Harris, the vice-presidential nominee's favourite.
Pramila took to her twitter account and wrote, "Compulsive, night-before-election activity: make comfort food. That's paneer tikka tonight, in honor of electing #KamalaHarris Veep tomorrow since she just said on Instagram that her favorite North Indian food is any kind of tikka! Let's go, people! VOTE! #BidenHarris2020 (sic)."
Take a look at Pramila Jayapal's version of Paneer Tikka here in her Tweet:
But we guess she made a little mistake by calling it a paneer tikka while the prepration looked like something different. This did not go down well with the Twitterati and they did what they are best at. Trolling. Right after she shared the tweet multiple users poked fun and seemed quite unhappy with Pramila's paneer tikka.
Some users shared the picture of a random dish and named it paneer tikka, while some schooled her on what exactly paneer tikka is.
