Telangana: Two Indian Air Force pilots die after aircraft crashes near Hyderabad, says Rajnath Singh

Officials said that the pilots include an instructor and one cadet.

Two Indian Air Force pilots died after a Pilatus PC 7 Mk II aircraft crashed at Air Force Academy near Hyderabad on Monday, confirmed Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh. 

Singh took to social media platform X to condole the demise of the pilots. He said, "Anguished by this accident near Hyderabad. It is deeply saddening that two pilots have lost their lives. In this tragic hour, my thoughts are with the bereaved families."

The incident occurred in Toopran mandal of the Medak district in Telangana, according to the local police. Earlier, it was stated that the two pilots had lost their lives but it is yet to be confirmed by the officials. 

Officials said that the injured pilots included an instructor and one cadet. The IAF has ordered a Court of Inquiry to ascertain the cause of the accident.
