Motorola Edge 30 is set to launch on May 12 in India. The news surfaced when Motorola floated the teaser today. The upcoming device was also teased through a dedicated microsite, and it was teasing the specifications of the new Motorola Edge series smartphone on Flipkart also, ahead of launch.
The Edge 30's Indian variant will support a pOLED panel, as per the microsite touted. The smartphone was launched across the world in the last week of April. Powered by the Snapdragon 778G+, the smartphone will feature a 6.5-inch OLED display.
Motorola India officially announced the launch date of the new Edge 30 smartphone through a tweet on its Motorola India page. The smartphone will go on sale through Flipkart, Reliance Digital and other major retail stores across the country.
The poster posted by Motorola states a tagline stating: "World's Thinnest 5G Smartphone".
Flipkart has further made a new landing page on its website to tease the arrival of the smartphone. Those who are interested can simply click on the “Notify Me” button to keep them updated with the launch and availability of the device.
Motorola Edge 30: what to expect
Motorola Edge 30 was launched in the European markets a while back and was priced at EUR 449.99 which is roughly INR 36,300, for an 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant. Witnessing the European variant’s price, we can expect the pricing of the device to be aligned with the recently launched device. The handset will be available in Aurora Green, Supermoon Silver and Meteor Gray colour options.
Edge 30 Pro, on the other hand, is said to be priced at Rs. 49,999 for the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage device.
Motorola Edge 30 specifications
Motorola Edge 30 will be having 5G connectivity and pOLED display. The Edge 30 will support a dual-SIM port and will run on Android 12 OS, based on My UX UI.
The handset will feature a 6.7-inch full-HD+ OLED display. Powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 778G+ processor, the handset will feature an 8GB RAM and up to 256GB of inbuilt storage.
On the camera front, the Edge 30 will feature a triple rear camera setup with 50-megapixel primary camera, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera and the third one will be a 2-megapixel depth sensor camera. On the front, the device will feature a 32-megapixel selfie shooter. The handset will be backed by a 4,020 mAh battery with 33W TurboPower charging support.
