Infinix is gearing up to launch a new special edition of its Note 40 Pro series. This comes after the company recently launched Infinix Note 40 Pro+ 5G and Note 40 Pro 5G smartphones in India in April. The devices are powered by MediaTek Dimensity 7020 SoC and feature an in-house Cheetah X1 power management chip. Here are all the details you need to know about the special edition smartphone.
Infinix has announced the upcoming release of the Infinix Note 40 series Racing Edition through a video post on X. The post includes a "coming soon" tag and the video showcases a design inspired by BMW, featuring the iconic tricolour on the rear camera island and the panel.
Similar to Infinix's previous Racing Edition smartphone — the Infinix Note 30 VIP Racing Edition — it is expected that the special edition of the Infinix Note 40 series will be developed in collaboration with BMW's Designworks studio. Additionally, it is likely to be packaged and themed with a BMW theme.

The Infinix Note 40 Pro+ 5G and Infinix Note 40 Pro 5G were launched in India in April, with initial price tags of Rs 24,999 and Rs 21,999, respectively.

The Infinix Note 40 Pro+ 5G and Note 40 Pro 5G both are powered by a 6nm MediaTek Dimensity 7020 SoC and an in-house Cheetah X1 chip. They run on XOS 14, which is based on Android 14.
They are equipped with a 6.78-inch full-HD+ (1,080x2,436 pixels) curved 3D AMOLED display featuring a 120Hz refresh rate. They boast a triple camera setup led by a 108-megapixel main sensor with optical image stabilisation (OIS) and 3x zoom. For selfies and video chats, they feature a 32-megapixel front camera.
Both models are IP53-rated and come with an in-display fingerprint sensor for authentication. The Infinix Note 40 Pro+ 5G houses a 4,600mAh battery with 100W wired fast charging support, while the Note 40 Pro 5G comes with a 5,000mAh battery and 45W fast charging. Additionally, both models support 20W Magnetic wireless charging.
