WhatsApp has become the largest instant messaging app today, with over 2.4 billion users worldwide. Its user-friendly interface and services have contributed to its increasing popularity. Many of us use WhatsApp multiple times a day. To enhance user experience, the company regularly introduces new features.

Normally, we save the WhatsApp numbers of people we know and need to communicate with. However, in urgent situations, we may need to share photos or documents with unknown contacts. While you could save the number and start chatting, there's also a way to share documents without saving the number.

Transfer files without saving the number

To put it simply, imagine you visit a photo studio to get a passport-size photo and the studio asks you to send the photo to a WhatsApp number. In this case, you would usually have to save the number first and then send the photo. However, you may never need to use that number again. In such situations, you can share the photo without saving the number.

For the convenience of users, WhatsApp has recently introduced an amazing feature. Earlier, you had to save photos or numbers to start chatting, but now it's no longer necessary.

A simple way to use the search bar

WhatsApp previously introduced the feature of sending messages by searching the contact number in the search bar. However, it's important to note that you don't have to go directly to the search bar. First, you need to click on "New Chat," then click on the "Contact" option.

Follow this simple method

Regardless of whether you have an Android or iPhone, you can follow these steps:

  1. Open WhatsApp.
  2. On iPhone, tap the plus icon at the top of WhatsApp, and on Android, tap it at the bottom.
  3. Enter the contact number in the search bar with whom you want to share messages or documents, or you can copy and paste the number into the search bar.
  4. After searching, you will see the number in the search results. By tapping on the number, you can start a chat with that person.

By following this process, you can chat with unknown numbers without saving them.
