Apple is gearing up to unveil its next iPhone operating system on June 10 at its Worldwide Developer Conference (WWDC). Before the official unveiling of the iOS 18, various reports are suggesting what users can expect from the upcoming operating system. Mark Gurman in his latest Power On newsletter said that the AI-generated emoji will be one of the new features the company will showcase at the event next month. As per Gurman, Apple is working on software that can create custom emojis based on the users' messages.
Gurman also reported that more customisation options for apps and the home screen will come with iOS 18. These customisations will enable users to change the colour of app icons and arrange things more freely without getting restricted by grid layout.
Reports also suggest that the company will roll out many new AI features with the iOS 18 operating system at WWDC on June 10. Gurman says that Apple will stick to the practical use of technology and is expected to announce a partnership with OpenAI to power its AI-based features. These upcoming features are expected to give AI boost to Apple apps and services such as Safari search, Siri, photo retouching, voice memo transcriptions, and more.
However, the company is yet to confirm any of these features so readers are expected to take them with a pinch of salt.
Meanwhile, Apple has not released a budget iPhone since 2022, but reports are suggesting that the company is working on a new one. The upcoming budget iPhone is anticipated to be named the iPhone SE 4 and is expected to be launched in the first half of next year. The price of the iPhone SE 4 has been leaked before its launch. Additionally, Apple's new budget iPhone is expected to have better specifications compared to previous iPhone SE models, including improvements in design and battery.
