Apple launched its thinnest iPad ever in May. Now, the company is gearing up for a thinner Macbook Pro, Apple Watch and iPhone. According to Gurman, Apple is about to introduce "a new class of Apple devices that are expected to be the thinnest and lightest products in their respective categories across the entire tech industry."

As per Gurman, the slimmed-down iPhone, rumoured to be released with the iPhone 17 line in 2025, is expected to be pricier than the current iPhone Pro Max. It is also anticipated to have a screen size that falls between the Pro Max and the standard iPhone. There is no specific timeline for the release of the other products mentioned in the report.

The iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus have a thickness of 7.8mm, while the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max are 8.3mm thick. Additionally, Apple is also developing a thinner version of the MacBook Pro, according to Gurman. The latest MacBook Pro model with the M3 chip and a 16-inch display is 1.68cm thick when closed, while its smaller sibling is slightly thinner at 1.56cm.

Recent MacBook Pro models (from 2021 onwards) have become thicker due to the reintroduction of MagSafe charging, an SD card slot, and additional ports, whereas the company's MacBook Air models have fewer ports and a slimmer design.

Furthermore, Gurman mentioned in his newsletter that the next Apple Watch will have a thinner chassis compared to previous models. This claim is supported by TF Securities International analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, who suggests that the Apple Watch Series 10 will feature a thinner design and possibly a larger display (up to 49mm).

Meanwhile, according to a recent leak, upcoming Apple devices are expected to have much thinner bezels on both variants - the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max. The company promises that this change will enhance the user experience when watching videos.
