Xiaomi has gone and announced the availability of the NFC-enabled Mi Band 3 variant. This model is a somewhat pricier model of the Mi Band 3 that was launched in May. The Mi Band 3 comes with a capacitive touchscreen OLED panel.

It also comes with a water resistance of up to 5 ATM and offers a battery life of up to 20 days. The new Mi Band 3 can be used to make contactless payments and will also be compatible with other non-Xiaomi devices running Android 4.4 or above, along with iOS 9.0.

Xiaomi's Mi Band 3 sports a 0.78-inch capacitive OLED display with a 128x80 pixel and has a water resistance of up to 50 metres. It comes with an improved pedometer and the display panel is capable of showing incoming calls, text message alerts, heart rate, current time and steps taken. The Mi Band 3 will come in deep blue, Graphite Black and Hot Orange colours.
It has a 110mAh battery and comes with Bluetooth v4.2 LE as well as NFC. The Mi Band 3 NFC model price is CNY 199 (Rs. 2,100 approx.).
There is no news on when we can see this in India, but Xiaomi has started sending media invites for an event marked for 27th September, wherein the company will be looking to expand its line up by launching the Mi Band 3, air purifier, new Smart TV and a Mi 360 Wireless Camera as well.
