WhatsApp Picture-in-Picture (PiP) feature that had arrived in beta back in October, is now rolling to Android users via WhatsApp stable version 2.18.380. With this update, users can now watch Facebook, Instagram and YouTube videos in a small window that will allow users to scroll through WhatsApp chats simultaneously. Although the new update is up now for all Android users, WhatsApp for iPhone has this since January this year.

With the latest version of WhatsApp for Android, the Picture-in-Picture feature will let users watch Instagram, Facebook and YouTube videos in a small window, with the flexibility of navigating around WhatsApp in different chats simultaneously. This new feature will work on individual chats as well as group chats.
To use it one needs to tap at a link in WhatsApp that plays the video in a small, dedicated window that is placed on the top of your WhatsApp chats, by which one can continue to communicate with individuals and other members in the WhatsApp group, letting you watch the Facebook, Instagram, or YouTube content, alongside.
To use this feature, one needs to download the latest WhatsApp for Android via Google Play. Note that the company had bought this feature initially on iOS, way back in January.
