Twitter has added two new modes called the 'Lights Out' and 'Automatic Dark' to its existing dark mode options that will facilitate an even darker theme on the app for the iOS users. Twitter tweeted on Thursday, "It was dark. You asked for darker! Check out our new dark mode. Rolling out today".
The 'Light Out' mode is designed to turn off the pixels on the screen that further reduces the light emitted via app interface. With the 'Automatic Dark' mode the site will allow users to have their device automatically switch from light to dark modes according to their timezones.
According to the Fortune report, Twitter says that the mode will potentially help with saving. The report added, "You can set things up so that your phone recognises what time it is and makes the transition for you without you even having to think about it".
Both the 'Lights Out' and 'Automatic Dark' modes are available for iOS users and it remains unclear if this feature will be available for Android users.
