Samsung Foldable smartphone launch confirmed for February 20

The Samsung Galaxy Foldable smartphone will come with a 7-inch foldable AMOLED display along with a secondary 4-inch display, which means that it can be used as a tablet and a phone as well.

With Samsung launch coming closer, the company plans on going massive with the Unpacked 2019 event on 20th February. The launch event will see the most aviated Galaxy line up that includes the Galaxy S10, Galaxy S10+ and Galaxy S10e along with Galaxy Watch Active and Galaxy Buds. Other than this Samsung will also be launching the foldable smartphone that is touted to be called Galaxy Fold.

Samsung has also posted the video on Twitter that shows that hints to the foldable smartphone. The video caption says "The future of mobile will unfold on February 20, 2019". Samsung had first teased the device back in November.

Samsung had also teased the foldable phone in an official promo that showed a glimpse of the device. In terms of specs, what is known so far is the fact that it would come with a large 7-inch foldable AMOLED display along with a secondary 4-inch display, which means that it can be used as a tablet and a phone as well.

In terms of specs, the Galaxy Fold is expected to come powered with Exynos 9820/ Snapdragon 855 chip along with 512GB storage and two 2,190mAh batteries. The Samsung Galaxy Fold price could cost $1800 (Rs 1,28,000 approx). 

According to the company, there will only be 1 million units of the Galaxy Fold initially and considering the sales and hype, the company could start selling more units of the Galaxy Fold.
