Redmi 7, the long-rumoured budget smartphone is all set to launch today in China. Apart from the Redmi 7, the company is expected to launch the Redmi Note 7 Pro as well, which was launched in India last month. The new Redmi 7 will be the successor to the Redmi 6 that will come with some major upgrades. The Redmi 7 launch will take place in Beijing, China at 2 pm CST (11:30 am IST).
The Redmi 7 has also been spotted on Geekbench and that reveals some key details of the phone. The Redmi 7 will come powered with Qualcomm Snapdragon 'msm8953' chipset backed with 4GB RAM and Android 9 Pie on top of MIUI 10.
On TENAA listing, the phone comes with 6.26-inch LCD HD+ display with 1520 x 720 pixels resolution, along with an aspect ratio of 19:9. The will house the 1.8 GHz Octa-core Snapdragon 625 processor and will be available in three configurations of 2GB RAM/16GB storage, 3GB RAM/32GB storage, and 6GB RAM/64GB storage.
According to the Xiaomi CEO, the Redmi 7 is expected to be priced 700 Yuan and 800 yuan (Rs Rs 7,000-Rs 8,000). Just like the Redmi 4, Redmi 5, Redmi 6 smartphones, the Redmi 7 too is expected to come to India soon.
