OnePlus 8T 5G launch Live Updates: OnePlus Nord gets a new colour, OnePlus 8T unveiled

Alongside the OnePlus 8T, the company has also launched the OnePlus Buds Z. The new truly wireless earphones now come with an in-ear design. The earphones will be available in India for a price of Rs. 3,190. 

OnePlus 8T will be available in India via an early access sale starting October 16 via Amazon and OnePlus.in. The open sales for the OnePlus 8T are set to begin on October 17. The smartphone has been launched at a price of Rs. 42,999 for the 8GB+128GB variant. OnePlus 8T also comes in 12GB+256GB variant priced at Rs. 45,999. 

Android 11 based OxygenOS 11 update has already started rolling out for the OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro. Now, the OnePlus 8T will run the latest operating system right out of the box. This means you will get features like the Always-on Display, Group Zen Mode, smoother experience and more. OnePlus has also announced a partnership with Snapchat to offer Bitmoji avatars, which can be used as Always-On display.

OnePlus 8T is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor. Notably, the Snapdragon 865+ has already arrived but the company planned to skip on it. This is paired with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. All of this is backed by a 4,500 mAh battery, with support for 65W Warp Charge. The company claims that the OnePlus 8T can get a full day's charge in just 15 minutes. The phone will come with a USB Type-C to Type-C cable and the new 65W charger right inside the box.

OnePlus 8T sports a quad-camera setup at the back consisting of a 48MP primary camera, 16MP ultra-wide angle lens with 123-degree field of view, 5MP macro camera and a 2MP monochrome camera.

OnePlus has taken a different design approach with the OnePlus 8T when compared to the OnePlus 8 or OnePlus 8 Pro. The smartphone now comes with the camera module on the side instead of the middle at the back. The smartphone weighs in at just 188g and it is 8.4mm sleek. Upfront, the OnePlus 8T now gets a flat display design.

OnePlus 8T features a 120Hz Super AMOLED flat display. The handset also gets 240Hz touch sampling rate and the brightness level of it goes all the way up to 1,100 nits. 

OnePlus Nord Gray Ash colour variant announced.

OnePlus has just announced the launch of the OnePlus Nord Gray Ash colour variant. The smartphone will be available in India via online and offline retail stores at a price of Rs. 29,999.

OnePlus has finally started the livestream of the OnePlus 8T launch event.

As mentioned above, the OnePlus 8T 5G is set to launch globally via a virtual launch event at 7:30 PM IST today. OnePlus has already teased that the OnePlus 8T will come with 65W fast charging support.
