OnePlus 6 has started getting the new OxygenOS 9.0.3 update that also brings about the December 2018 Android security patch. The latest update has also improved some of the preloaded features in the phone. This is an (OTA) over the air roll out and comes months after the smartphone received OxygenOS Open Beta 7 that also brought the OnePlus roaming in which one can surf the web while travelling abroad without a local SIM card.

According to OnePlus forums official changelog, the OxygenOS 9.0.3 update brings improvement in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth stability to enhance the connectivity experience along with a December 2018 security patch that notably fixes a list of vulnerabilities behind the scenes.
The new OxygenOS 9.0.3 update for the OnePlus 6 gets more improvement on the camera with the Nightscape mode that delivers an enhanced low-light image quality experience. This is the same feature that was there on OnePlus 6T when it arrived.
Apart from the Nightscape mode, the other improvement on the OnePlus 6 is its slow-motion performance and optimised image processing. Other than the camera performance, the update brings an audio tuner for Bluetooth headphones, plus there is also support for VoLTE, particularly for users on Bouygues FR network.
One can manually check for the availability of OxygenOS 9.0.3 update on OnePlus 6 by going to settings, followed with the system and clicking on Software updates.
