The new OnePlus 6T is an upgrade to the OnePlus 6, although there is not much difference between the two smartphones barring minor tweaks and slight features, the OnePlus 6 is a great phone too.

OnePlus has officially launched its new flagship called the OnePlus 6T. The smartphone was unveiled at a special event that took place in New York and will be formally launching in India tonight that will take place in New Delhi.

The new OnePlus 6T is an upgrade to the OnePlus 6, although there is not much difference between the two phones barring minor tweaks and slight features, the OnePlus 6 looks like a better bet to buy, i.e if it's still selling online.

The OnePlus 6T has been launched for $549 and the India price is expected to be revealed today. OnePlus 6T will slightly be a little more expensive than OnePlus 6.

OnePlus 6T specifications and features

The newly launched OnePlus 6T specs include a 6.41 inches Optic AMOLED capacitive touchscreen with 1080 x 2340 pixels resolution and Corning Gorilla Glass 6 protection. The smartphone display gets a notch and comes with an in-display fingerprint scanner. Powering the phone is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC paired with Adreno 630 GPU and will come in two configurations of 6GB RAM 128GB storage and 8GB RAM 256GB storage.

For optics, the OnePlus 6T comes with a rear 16 Megapixel, f/1.7 sensor, along with a 20 Megapixel f/1.7 secondary sensor with Dual-LED flash. Towards the front is the 16 Megapixel camera to take selfies. It houses a non-removable Li-Po 3700 mAh battery with Fast battery charging (Dash Charge) and will be made available in two colour options of Midnight Black and Mirror Black.

Difference between OnePlus 6T and OnePlus 6-

Display size
The OnePlus 6T comes with a waterdrop display compared to a notch display on the OnePlus 6. The OnePlus 6T gets a larger display of 6.41 inches which is larger than the previous 6.28 inches of the OnePlus 6.

Fingerprint sensor
The OnePlus 6T comes with an under display fingerprint sensor, whereas the  OnePlus 6 get a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor.

Battery
The OnePlus 6 comes with a 3300 mAh battery, but the new OnePlus 6T comes with a slight bump in the battery that now features a 3,700 mAh battery.

3.5mm Jack
The new OnePlus 6T has missed out on the 3.5mm jack, which in a way gives an edge to the OnePlus 6, plus the older OnePlus 6 is slimmer in size, in comparison to the OnePlus 6T.

Variants
The OnePlus was launched in three storage configurations of 6GB RAM+64GB storage/ 8GB RAM+128GB storage/ 8GB RAM+256GB storage, whereas the new OnePlus 6T comes in two storage configurations of 6GB RAM+128GB storage/ 8GB RAM+256GB storage.

Colours
The OnePlus 6 was launched in four colour options of Midnight Black, Mirror Black, Silk White, Amber Red, while the OnePlus 6T is launched in two colour options of Mirror Black and Midnight Black.

Although the OnePlus 6T has got some noted upgrades, which make it better buy but just in case you happen to get the OnePlus 6, you could totally go for that as well.
