After making its way on the Reliance JioPhones in September 2018, WhatsApp will now be available on Nokia's 8110. HMD Global, the home of Nokia phones, announced on Tuesday that India will be the first market where Nokia's '8110' feature phone will receive the update. The slider banana 4G feature phone is designed with the slide to answer and end calls along with a helicopter-style spin on its axis.
Ajey Mehta, Vice President and Country Head - India, HMD Global said, "We're so happy that our fans in India will get WhatsApp on 'Nokia 8110' first anywhere in the world".
The Nokia 8110 runs on the web-based mobile OS called KaiOS and supports VoLTE. The phone also comes preloaded with Google apps like Maps, Assistant, Search and others like Facebook, Outlook and Gmail.
The Nokia 8110 price is Rs 4,999 and is available in Amazon.in, Flipkart.in, Nokia's official website and other offline partners. The phone comes in traditional black and banana yellow colour variants.
Nokia had announced the Nokia 8110 in February 2018 at the Mobile World Congress held in Barcelona.
