Oppo, the Chinese smartphone maker is likely to launch a new mid-range smartphone in India. This will be a device with an in-display fingerprint sensor, for which a landing page for the launch is already live on Flipkart. According to the landing page, the new Oppo smartphone will be an affordable device with an in-display fingerprint scanner.

The teaser image shows the bottom section of the phone, which could be the Oppo K1 that was launched in China on the 10th of October 2018. The teaser also states that the new series from Oppo is coming soon to #UnlockWithStyle for you!. This suggests that it could be the first phone of its K-series in India.

The Oppo K1 is a mid-range smartphone that comes with a large 6.4-inch IPS LCD display with 1080 X 2340 resolution at 402 PPI density, along with the waterdrop notch on the front. The phone comes with an aspect ratio of 19.5:9 with an in-display fingerprint scanner, which is only relevant in high-end devices. This will make Oppo K1 the first affordable mid-range handset in India with an in-display fingerprint sensor.
It will run on custom UI based on Android 8.1 Oreo and will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC. The phone is available in China and comes in two variants with the base version having 4GB RAM with 64GB internal storage along with 6GB RAM with 64GB storage.
In terms of camera, the Oppo K1 will come with a 16 Megapixel primary camera with f/1.7 aperture paired with a 2 Megapixel depth sensor, while on the front would be the 25 Megapixel selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture.
It is said to house a 3600 mAh battery and is available in China at 1599 yuan (Rs 17,132 approx).
