LG will be launching the LG V40 ThinQ smartphone on 3rd of October, but it looks like the company just might be launching a new watch as well. According to reports, the watch could be LG Watch W7 smartwatch and this new smartwatch is tipped to be a hybrid, i.e the watch will run on Android Wear OS and come with a mechanical clock setup as well. The LG Watch W7 had been leaked earlier too, but after many months, LG is finally launching the same device but have named it LG Watch W7.
Even Evan Blass, the tipster went on and tweeted that LG would be launching the LG Watch W7 alongside LG V40 ThinQ.
Android Headlines in a report suggests that LG seems like to please both digital and analog smartphone lovers with a new mechanical clock setup and the Android Wear OS features packed inside, as the analog setup offers long battery life with perfect time tracking.
Reports suggest that the LG Watch W7 specifications would include a stainless steel design and would feature a 1.2-inch (360x360 pixels) LCD panel with 300ppi pixel density. Other LG Watch W7 features include IP68 certified and would come with an interchangeable 22mm silicone rubber strap. Powering it would be the Qualcomm Snapdragon 2100 SoC with 4GB of eMMC storage, 768MB of LPDDR3 RAM. Other connectivity options would include Bluetooth 4.2, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and USB Type-C 2.0 port. LG might ship it in two colour options of New Aurora Black and Cloud Silver colour options and the watch could be priced under $250 (Rs. 18,100 approx.).
