With leaks and rumours surrounding the upcoming OnePlus smartphone, the company has gone and confirmed that one of the OnePlus 6T features include an in-display fingerprint scanner and the company will call this feature as Screen Unlock. With this, there no longer will be the conventional rear fingerprint sensor and the new Screen Unlock as well as Face Unlock option will be the new security option on the smartphone.
With this, the OnePlus 6T will join other smartphones like Vivo Nex, Vivo X21 and Huawei Porche Design Mate RS that feature this technology. Although this sounds super cool, in the real world this technology is surprisingly not super efficient, as one is required to put the finger at a particular angle and apply pressure, in order to unlock it.
Looking at it from an optimal side, the in-display fingerprint sensor lets you unlock the phone without having to lift it.
The phone is expected to launch in October and might be priced at $550 i.e Rs. 39,500 approx. Followed by all the image leaks and rumours, there have been a lot of OnePlus 6T photos, but reports suggest that OnePlus 6T display would feature a waterdrop notch, along with thin bezels and a triple camera setup.
Following its established trend, the company will keep the 'T' for its succeeding model, after its original version. Although the 'T' variant of OnePlus comes with minimal upgrades, the company plans on making several changes in the design of the upcoming OnePlus 6T. For more, we will have to wait till something comes on the other OnePlus 6T features and specifications.
