Huami, the Xiaomi backed wearable tech brand has launched its Amazfit Verge smartwatch in India. It comes with a water-resistant body with IP68 rating as well as continuous heart rate monitoring. When connected to the phone over Bluetooth, the watch allows users to take calls, since it gets a microphone and speaker. It gets eleven sports modes that include running, climbing, skiing, playing soccer, cycling, playing tennis and more. The watch comes with GPS + GLONASS and gets up to 5 days of battery life.
Amazfit Verge specifications
The Amazfit Verge comes with a 1.3-inch (360x360 pixels) AMOLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. Powering the watch is a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, backed with 512MB RAM, 4GB eMMC. The watch is Dust and Water Resistant (IP68) and gets some connectivity options like Bluetooth 4.0 LE, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g, NFC and GPS+GLONASS.

The Amazfit Verge is an Android-based device that runs on Amazfit OS and is compatible with Android 4.4 devices or later, iOS 9.0 or later. It comes with an Optical heart rate monitor (PPG) and other sensors on board like Accelerometer, Gyroscope, Ambient Light Sensor, air pressure sensor, a geomagnetic sensor and wearing detection sensor. The watch can track all sports activities like running, cycling, walking, climbing, skiing, elliptical and more. It houses a 390mAh battery that offers up to 5 days of battery life.

The Amazfit Verge price in India is Rs 11,999 and will be exclusively available on Amazon.in. The watch will start selling from 15 January.
