Honor, the sub-brand of Huawei on Thursday teased the launch of Honor 8A via Weibo. The phone will debut in China on 8 January, which will be a successor to the Honor 7A which was launched way back in April in China. The Honor 8A had surfaced last month on TENAA listing, hinting to the presence of Android Pie on the smartphone.

Looking at the teaser image that was released on the official Weibo account, the Honor 8A appears to have a waterdrop-style display notch along with the building shown in the image that reveals stereo speakers as well.

The Honor 8A was seen on China's TENAA that suggest the phone would run Android 9.0 Pie out-of-the-box. The will likely come with a 6.08-inch HD+ (720x1560 pixels) LCD panel and will be powered by an octa-core 2.2GHz SoC, backed with 3GB RAM. The front is expected to come with an 8 Mega-pixel selfie camera, while on the front would be the 13 Megapixel sensor. The listing also suggests that the phone would come in 32GB and 64GB inbuilt storage options that can be expanded to 512GB via microSD card. 

The phone will house a 2,920mAh battery and could be available in four colour options of Black, Blue, Gold, and Red.
