Facebook, WhatsApp and Instagram still not working for some users, company denies cyber attack
Followed with global outrage on facebook, the company went on to confirm that the problem was not related to Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) cyber attack.
Facebook suffered a service outage for hours on Wednesday after the company ruled out a cyber attack on its products Whatsapp, Instagram and Messenger.
Users faced problems across the globe while sending messages on WhatsApp and Messenger along with Instagram that too was facing service disruptions.
With users reporting about the inconvenience faced by them, Facebook took it on Twitter to respond on the issue, "We're aware that some people are currently having trouble accessing the Facebook family of apps. We're working to resolve the issue as soon as possible."
Facebook went on to confirm that the problem was not related to Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) cyber attack.
Facebook told its users, who believed the service disruption could be a cyber attack, by saying that, "We're focused on working to resolve the issue as soon as possible, but can confirm that the issue is not related to a DDoS attack."
According to a report, users were able to open Facebook and Instagram mobile apps but were experiencing troubles while uploading the posts.
Users took it to Twitter complaining about the hour-long disruption service with hashtags like #FacebookDown, #Instagramdown and #Whatappdown.
Following the outrage, the social media giant went on to become a butt of jokes on Twitter with comments, memes and jokes.
