Facebook, the social media giant has added a new feature to the Messenger app that includes native support for looping Boomerang videos. The app also gets Selfie mode that can blur the background automatically. The app gets augmented reality feature, which lets users place Messenger's stickers in the photos and videos.

With the new selfie mode, the Messanger now adds to a total of five modes that includes normal, video, text, boomerang, and selfie. Facebook Messenger already comes with Augmented reality effects and the new AR stickers are the company’s attempt to pair these effects with the same stickers that are used via standard text chats. One can now add stickers as an augmented reality object by pressing on the camera icon next to the sticker.
The company says that the new feature will be available to a majority of users globally starting today that will be available on both Messenger's redesigned app and older version as well.
Facebook said in a blog post on Monday, "Starting today, there are now five modes to Messenger's camera including everyone's favourite video-looping effect, Boomerang, to make Messenger posts more interactive and fun".
The company added by saying, "We've also added Selfie mode, where you can capture portraits of yourself or friends in Messenger's camera".
According to Facebook, there are more than 20 million people that use camera effects for photos and videos on Messenger every day.
