Asus Zenfone Max Pro M2 and ZenFone Max M2 have started getting new software updates in the phones that bring the December 2018 Android security patch. The new update on the Asus ZenFone Max Pro M2 includes a camera optimization and an upgrade in the touchscreen firmware and on the ZenFone Max M2, the update now brings EIS (electronic image stabilization) for the front camera. This update comes in less than a couple of weeks after the previous update.

The Asus ZenFone Max Pro M2 comes with a 6.26inch full-HD+ display (1080x2280 pixels) with a 19:9 aspect ratio, and a 2.5D curved Corning Gorilla Glass 6 for protection. The phone comes powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor that comes in three configurations of 3GB, 4GB, or 6GB RAM. For optics, the phone comes with a dual rear camera setup that includes a 12 Megapixel primary sensor backed with a 5 Megapixel depth sensor. Towards the front is a 13 Megapixel camera with f/2.0 aperture that includes 1.12-micron pixels, and LED flash. It houses a 5,000mAh battery and gets some connectivity options that include dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, FM radio, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a Micro-USB port.
