Apple slashes Apple Music subscription fee to step up efforts in the Indian market
Apple has reduced the Apple Music subscription fees on all categories, including Individual, Family Sharing and Student Membership to dominate Indian Music space.
Apple recently launched a special promotion discount on iPhone XR and is selling the phone at as low as Rs 53,900 in India. Now the company has gone and made a big announcement for Apple Music subscription.

Apple has slashed the Apple Music subscription for individuals and Rs 149 for family sharing options. Students can get it for Rs 49 per month and users will also get a three-month free trial subscription.
Initially, users were required to pay Rs 120 per month, whereas the family sharing plan and student membership were priced at Rs190 and Rs 60 per month.
With Apple planning to go aggressive, the company has started locally assembling the iPhone 7 and are also running a limited time offer on iPhone XR. The Apple Music subscription price drop could also have been because of the recent competition from players like Spotify and YouTube Music in India. Local players like Reliance JioSaavn and Gaana too recently slashed their prices.
Unlike its hardware, Apple Music has certainly shown a potential growth and offers songs in many regional languages like T series, Saregama, YRF, Zee Music, Universal and Sony Music.
