Apple uncovered its latest flagship iPhone series on Wednesday. The Cupertino giant unveiled three new phones which include the large iPhone XS Max, iPhone XS and the iPhone XR. All three devices were launched at the Steve Jobs Theater in Apple Park. The major highlight of all three models is the support for dual-SIM and dual standby (DSDS).

Apple's iPhone XS MAX is the largest smartphone in the Apple history. The iPhone XS MAX  sports a 6.5” AMOLED screen, wherein the bezels of the device are dissolved that helps in giving the screen a tall 19.5:9 aspect ratio, minus the notch. In terms of width, the new screen is similar to that of the iPhone 8 Plus, but it gets an extra height that helps in supporting additional content.

The screen is backed by the "Super Retina" display that manages 458ppi pixel density and a resolution of 1,242 x 2,688px. For making operations smooth, the screen runs at 120Hz and supports other features like HDR10 and Dolby Vision.

For unlocking the phone, Apple is using the 3D face scanner as the only biometric authentication method, leaving no room for the fingerprint reader.

On the camera front, Apple uses a dual 12MP camera, which has been completely redone, as the main wide-angle shooter now comes with an all-new sensor that has larger pixels – 1.4µm, up from 1.22µm, whereas the aperture stays at f/1.8. The other telephoto camera has a 12MP sensor, with f/2.4 lens and supports 2x optical zoom along with OIS.

Apple's A12 Bionic chipset has been optimised for the Smart HDR feature. The camera can capture 4 frame buffer and has zero shutter lag. On the front is a 7MP RGB sensor that comes with improved speed optimisation.

Made from stainless steel chassis, the phone comes equipped with a new scratch-resistant glass and Apple claims that this glass is the most durable on a phone. To protect it from dust and water, Apple also bumped the water resistance to IP68 that allows the device to endure for half an hour under 2 meters of water.

The Apple iPhone XS MAX comes in three storage configuration, starting from 64GB that is priced at $1099, the second is a 256 GB version priced at $1249 and the highest capacity 512GB variant costs $1449.
