Apple brings out an update to fix the eavesdropping bug that affects the Group FaceTime feature via iOS 12.1.4. This is after reports on FaceTime video-chat came in where people could listen to voice before accepting or rejecting the call.

The new software is can be installed via Software Update in settings for Apple mobile devices. The company has also released a macOS Mojave 10.14.3 update that fixes the bug. This glitch happened when users created a FaceTime conference call, by putting in a phone number and adding another person's number. This flaw also came into being when other users clicked on the power button or a volume button control. This turned out to be a little bad on Apple's part as it is renowned for privacy and security in its devices.
The bug was discovered by a 14-year-old Arizona teenager on January 19th, which was publicly reported. Apple went on to separately announce that it would contribute to the boy's high school education, who discovered the bug.
Apple had altogether disabled the feature of Group FaceTime and notified the users about its unavailability via system status page on its website. The company has now restored the Group FaceTime server for all the users on iOS 12.1.4.
How to get iOS 12.1.4 update
To get this update on all iPhone and iPad models one can go to the settings followed with General and software update followed with the on-screen instructions.
The device needs to be connected to the Wi-Fi in order to download the over-the-air update. Before starting the update, make sure to back up the data and note that the device should have more than 50 per cent of charge.
