Tamil Nadu Lok Sabha Election Results 2024: The Lok Sabha Elections in Tamil Nadu were held in the first phase of the seven-phased elections on April 19. All 39 seats in the state went to polls simultaneously. The state is witnessing a fierce contest between the DMK-Congress alliance and the BJP-led NDA which is looking to make inroads into the southern state. The BJP has forged alliances with smaller regional parties this time and is contesting on 23 seats, while the allies are fighting on the rest of the seats. Some regional parties are contesting on the BJP symbol. The BJP has left 10 Lok Sabha seats for the Pattali Makkal Katchi (PMK) of Anbumani Ramadoss, 3 for the GK Vasan-led Tamil Maanila Congress (Moopanar), 2 for the Amma Makkal Munnettra Kazhagam (AMMK) of TTV Dhinakaran in Tamil Nadu. The DMK and Congress are part of the Opposition's I.N.D.I.A bloc, which also include CPI, CPIM, VCK, IUML, MDMK. AIADMK-led alliance include parties like DMDK, PT and SDPI. The results of the Tamil Nadu Lok Sabha Elections, along with other seats across the country are being announced today. Paarivendhar (BJP, Perambalur), V. Selvaraj (CPI, Nagapattinam), Raama Sreenivasan (BJP, Madurai), R. Sivasamy Velumani (AIADMK, Thoothukkudi), Vijay Vasanth (Congress, Kanniyakumari), K Krishnasamy (AIADMK, Tenkasi).
