London: Rohan Bopanna and Florin Mergea of Romania defeated top-seeded American twins Bob and Mike Bryan to advance into the quarterfinals of men's doubles tournament at Wimbledon.
The Bryan brothers lost to Bopanna-Mergea 5-7, 6-4, 7-6 (9), 7-6 (5) Tuesday in the quarterfinals.
The Bryans have won three doubles titles at the All England Club, and a record 16 Grand Slam titles overall.
In mixed doubles, pair of Sania Mirza and Brazilian Bruno Soares defeated Croatian duo of Marin Draganja and Ana Konjuh 6-3, 6-7 (5), 6-3 to reach quarterfinals.
They will face Austrian-Hungaria pair of Alexander Peya and Timea Babos in the quarters.
