London, Jun13: Andy Roddick was ousted from the grass-court tournament at Queen's Club after losing in the second round to Edouard Roger-Vasselin of France 6-4, 4-6, 7-5 on Wednesday.

Top seed and defending champion Andy Murray followed Roddick out of the Wimbledon warm up event after falling to Nicolas Mahut of France 6-3, 6-7, 7-6.

The 32nd-ranked Roddick has been struggling with ankle and hamstring injuries. He was defeated in the first round of the French Open this month.

Roddick saved two break points in the second set and went on to win it by breaking in the final game. The American held a break point in the third set to lead 3-1 and a match point at 5-4, before Roger-Vasselin broke at 5-5 to win the match.

“It wasn't that bad,” Roddick said. “I mean, I served eighty percent and had 22 aces.

“It was better than what I have been doing. I didn't hit the ball too badly. I've certainly played a lot worse this year,” Roddick said.

Murray failed to find a way to gain an advantage over Mahut, who held a match point against the American in the 2007 final after beating Rafael Nadal in the quarterfinals.

Although Murray broke to lead 1-0 in the third set, Mahut immediately replied and then swept the first six points of the tiebreaker.

Fourth-seeded Gilles Simon of France lost to Simone Bolelli of Italy 4-6, 6-3, 7-6, and sixth-seeded Marin Cilic of Croatia advanced with a 6-2, 6-1 win over Matthew Ebden of Australia.

Fifth seed Feliciano Lopez of Spain struggled to overcome Belgium's Steve Darcis 6-3, 3-6, 7-5, and Taiwan's Yen-Hsun Lu saved a match point as he upset Ivo Karlovic of Croatia 6-7, 7-6, 7-6.
