Toronto, Jun 24: Chris Tierney scored in second-half stoppage time to complete New England's comeback and lift the Revolution to a 2-2 draw with Toronto FC on Saturday.
With the Revolution trailing 2-0, Blake Brettschneider cut the deficit in half in the 71st minute as he knocked in a rebound past Toronto goalie Milos Kocic, before Tierney secured a point for the visitors.
Danny Koevermans put Toronto ahead in the 4th minute and Ryan Johnson doubled the lead in the 42nd, before it gave up a two-goal lead for the second straight game. Houston scored two late goals to pull to a 3-3 draw against Toronto on Wednesday.
Both Toronto goals came from headers inside the 18-yard box on pinpoint crosses from the left side by defender and Canadian international Ashtone Morgan.
Union 4, Sporting 0
At Chester, Pennsylvania, Jack McInerney scored twice and Philadelphia beat Sporting Kansas City 4-0 to win its first match in six.
Lionard Pajoy converted a penalty in the 81st minute after Antoine Hoppenot was fouled in the box before Hoppenot added a fourth for the Union in the 87th.
Philadelphia entered the game having scored a league-low eight goals. However, McInerney got the Union on the board early with a goal in the second minute. He added his second in the 43rd minute.
Philadelphia won for the first time since beating Chivas USA 1-0 on April 21 and move to 11 points, six clear of bottom-placed Toronto, who drew 2-2 at home to New England.
Impact 4, Dynamo 2
At Montreal, Hassoun Camara got his first MLS goal and Patrice Bernier scored a second-half penalty to lift Montreal to a 4-2 victory over Houston.
Sanna Nyassi and Davy Arnaud scored first-half goals for Montreal, but goals to Houston duo Will Bruin and Brad Davis saw the teams locked at 2-2 at the break.
The Impact restored its lead when Arnaud flicked Martins' corner kick to Camara, who scored with a header at the far post in the 60th minute. After Felipe went down in the penalty area following a light shove from Geoff Cameron eight minutes later, Bernier converted the penalty kick.
Houston's Adam Moffat received a straight red card after bringing Montreal's Felipe Martins down in the 73rd minute to end any chance of a Houston comeback.
Fire 2, Crew 1
At Bridgeview, Illinois, Marco Pappa and Dominic Oduro scored in the first 26 minutes for the Chicago Fire to record a hard-fought 2-1 victory over 10-man Columbus.
The victory moved the Fire within three points of third-place New York in the Eastern Conference.
Chicago dominated from the start and opened the scoring when Pappa maneuvered to the edge of the penalty area and ripped a right-footed shot off the hands of diving goalkeeper Andy Gruenbaum in the second minute.
Oduro made it 2-0 in the 26th minute, outrunning a pair of defenders while in control of Sebastian Grazzini's pass before chipping the ball past Gruenbaum from 15 yards.
Chicago's Gonzalo Segares was sent off in the 29th minute when his right foot clipped the right shin of Columbus' Kevin George while they slid for a loose ball.
Despite being a man down Columbus' Tony Tchani cut the gap to 2-1 in the 36th minute, taking a pass from fellow midfielder Chris Birchall and beating Fire goalkeeper Sean Johnson from 10 yards.
Earthquakes 2, Real Salt Lake 1
At Sandy, Utah, substitute forward Alan Gordon scored a goal and created one for Chris Wondolowski to lift San Jose to a 2-1 victory over Real Salt Lake.
The victory allowed San Jose to move into first place in the Western Conference. Javier Morales scored for RSL, which suffered its second straight home loss and third consecutive defeat at Rio Tinto Stadium.
The Earthquakes opened the scoring in the 76th minute when Ramiro Corrales played a long ball down to Gordon inside the box. Gordon headed the ball over Rimando before he could get to it. The ball bounced across the goal line and into the net to give San Jose a 1-0 lead.
FC Dallas 0, Chivas USA 0
At Frisco, Texas, Dan Kennedy's three saves helped Chivas USA share the points with FC Dallas.
Dallas had the better opportunities and finished with 13 shots, while Chivas USA could only manage two.
The draw extends FC Dallas' winless streak to 11 games to set a new club record. The previous record of 10 games without a win was from July 2 to Sept. 10, 2005.
Chivas USA moves to 19 points, while FC Dallas moves to 14 points, one ahead of bottom-placed Portland in the Western Conference.
