Striker Chinedu Obasi Moves To Schalke

Frankfurt, Dec 25: Hoffenheim is sending Nigeria striker Chinedu Obasi to Bundesliga rival Schalke on loan until the end of the season.

Both teams announced the agreement. Schalke has an option to sign Obasi on a permanent deal when the loan finishes.

Obasi has not scored in 13 games for Hoffenheim this season and was briefly thrown out of the team for arriving late for practice.

Schalke is beefing up its squad ahead of the knockout stage of the Europa League. It sits third in the Bundesliga.
