Lisbon, Jan 8: Porto was held to a 0-0 draw at third-place Sporting Lisbon on Saturday, giving Benfica the chance to take sole possession of the Portuguese league lead.
Porto extended its undefeated streak in league play to 53 consecutive games as it moved one point clear of Benfica, which plays at Leiria on Sunday.
Porto, the defending league champions, have shared the lead with Benfica since the end of October.
On Friday, sixth-place Academica drew 1-1 at Setubal.
On Sunday, it's: Maritimo vs. Olhanense, Rio Ave vs. Pacos de Ferreira, Gil Vicente vs. Nacional, Leiria vs. Benfica, and Guimaraes vs. Feirense.
Fourth-place Braga visits Beira Mar on Monday.
