Pune, Nov 23: Hosts Mumbai FC shocked an unbeaten Sporting Clube de Goa 2-1 to end their five match losing streak in their seventh round I-League clash at the Shiv Chatrapati ground at Balewadi here today.
The hosts were provided a breakthrough by Ebi Sukore Thephlius, who converted a penalty in the added time of the first half.
Man of the Match Gbeneme Friday scored the second goal five minutes into the second half leaving the visitors stunned.
Victorino Fernandes' strike in the 87th minute could only reduce the margin of defeat for Sporting.
With their second win in seven matches, Mumbai FC have six points, while Sporting have 12 matches from seven games.
