Granada, Spain: Manucho scored deep in stoppage time to give Rayo Vallecano a 1-0 win at Granada in the Spanish league on Friday.
With Rayo stalled in attack, Manucho went on in the 84th minute and finished off a last-gasp move when the Angolan striker swept Gael Kakuta's pass in off the far post.
In an otherwise drab match plagued by fouls, Rayo had created little more than a shot by Lica Pereira that goalkeeper Roberto Fernandez stretched to save in the 12th.
Defender Jeison Murillo headed Granada's best chance onto the top of the netting in the 39th minute, while Francisco "Piti" Medina had one of its few on-target shots in the 46th.
Rayo's third win in its last four games lifted it into a provisional eighth place.
Granada lost its fourth straight match after a strong start to the season, and was left in 13th place. Granada has scored one goal in its last four games and only five through eight rounds.
"A goal like that hurts a lot," Piti said. "We did everything we could to win, but the game got away from us. Losing four straight bothers us, but we can't get down. The season is long and the goals will eventually come."
Leader Barcelona hosts Eibar on Saturday, with Lionel Messi two goals away from equaling the league's all-time leading scorer, Telmo Zarra. Real Madrid visits Levante.
On Sunday, second-place Valencia visits Deportivo La Coruna, while third-place Sevilla is at Elche.
