Milan: Kaka has reportedly agreed to cut his salary by more than half to rejoin AC Milan.
Following a free transfer from Real Madrid on Sunday, Milan says on its website that the club agreed on contract terms with the former FIFA world player of the year early Monday.
Financial terms were not disclosed but the Gazzetta dello Sport reports that it's a two-year deal worth ¤4 million ($5.3 million) per season plus bonuses -- a significant drop from the ¤10 million ($13.2 million) Kaka earned with Madrid.
However, the 31-year-old Kaka wants to play for Brazil at next year's World Cup in his home country and should feature more at Milan.
After injuring his left knee, he never established himself as a first-choice player with Madrid.
