Turin, Italy: Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba will be out for nearly two months after tearing a muscle in his right thigh.
Pogba was hurt on Wednesday, midway through the first half of the 3-0 Champions League victory at Borussia Dortmund which sent the Serie A champion to the quarterfinals.
Juventus says on Thursday that Pogba will be sidelined for around 50 days.
The France international is not expected to return to action until May 8, ruling him out of the Champions League quarterfinals as well as the first leg of the semifinals, should Juventus progress.
Pogba has eight goals in 22 Serie A appearances. He has also started all eight of Juve's matches in Europe this season, scoring once.
Juventus leads Serie A by 14 points, and is also in the Italian Cup semfinals.
