Lisbon, Portugal, Mar 20: Sporting Lisbon failed to follow up its Europa League success with a win in the Portuguese league, losing 2-0 at Gil Vicente on Monday after goals from Rodrigo Galo and Claudio.
Galo scored with a long-range strike in the 13th minute, and Claudio converted a 55th-minute penalty following a foul by Sporting defender Stijn Schaars.
