Hungary scored the most goals in a single World Cup finals match when it put 10 past El Salvador in their opening group match in 1982.
Despite the 10-1 win, which saw substitute Laszlo Kiss score a seven-minute hat trick, Hungary failed to progress to the next round. Hungary, a two-time losing finalist, hasn't qualified since 1986.
El Salvador, which has lost all six matches it has played in the two World Cups it has participated in, hasn't qualified since.
