Liverpool, England: Everton defender Leighton Baines has fractured a toe on his right foot and has been ruled out for up to six weeks.
The England left back was hurt in Saturday's 3-3 draw with Liverpool in the Merseyside derby when his foot was stepped on by Jordan Henderson.
Baines had an X-ray over the weekend and Everton manager Roberto Martinez says "it could mean anything from missing six weeks to being back in 10 days because it depends how the fracture heals."
Even if Baines is out until January, he won't miss any England games as the national team does not play again until March.
Everton is seventh in the Premier League, a point behind fourth.
