MANCHESTER, England : Wayne Rooney will miss Manchester United's penultimate match of a lackluster English Premier League campaign against Hull on Tuesday while still struggling to overcome a groin injury.
Rooney sat out the 1-0 loss to Sunderland on Saturday due to a combination of the injury and a stomach bug.
Interim manager Ryan Giggs said ahead of the Hull match at Old Trafford: "Wayne is probably struggling for the game. He's not quite recovered."
The injury will be a concern for England coach Roy Hodgson, who names his World Cup squad next Monday.
