Buenos Aires, Argentina, Sept 23: Clemente Rodriguez scored in the 17th-minute to lift Boca Juniors to a 1-0 victory over Estudiantes on Thursday and push the Buenos Aires club four points ahead atop the Argentine Apertura tournament.
Boca has 20 points in eight matches followed by Racing and Rafaela with 16.
In other Thursday matches to complete the eighth round, Godoy Cruz and Union drew 1-1 and Tigre defeated Argentinos Juniors 1-0.
The ninth round begins Saturday and runs through Monday. AP
