Liverpool, Sep 10: Stiliyan Petrov and Gabriel Agbonlahor scored as Aston Villa twice came from behind to earn a 2-2 draw at Everton and preserve its unbeaten Premier League start.
Everton hardly seemed bothered by the sale of Mikel Arteta to Arsenal as they claimed a deserved halftime lead through Leon Osman's goal in the 19th minute. Petrov equalized in the 63rd only to see Leighton Baines restore the hosts' lead with a penalty six minutes later.
But Agbonlahor's header in the 83rd earned Villa the point and left Everton frustrated at the lack of reward for a fluid attacking display.
The game was preceded by a peaceful protest outside the stadium by several hundred supporters frustrated at a lack of investment under chairman Bill Kenwright. AP
