Real Madrid are currently the team to look out for in the Champions League as the Madridistas eye a thrid win to create an everlasting history. The Los Blancos are presently in the best form as they have added around four silverwares to their account with the La Liga title, the UEFA champions league title by thrashing Juventus, the UEFA Super Cup title by easing pass Manchester United and decimating rivals FC Barcelona for the Spanish Super Cup. Each player's role in the squad has been vital for their current success in Europe. Ronaldo's goals isn't the only beauty of Madrid as a great deal of sportsmanship and tactics is what Real Madrid have been superbly great at.

With the UEFA best player awards and Champions League draw announced, it was Real's players that bagged the silverware.
Cristiano Ronaldo was presented with the UEFA's best forward of the season award. Magician Luca Modric was presented with the UEFA best Midfielder of the season and hot head Sergio Ramos was given the UEFA's best defender of the season. As expected it was Ronaldo who grabbed the UEFA's best player of the year award. Ronaldo has scored 90 goals in 88 UCL appearances.

Led by the Madrid man himself, Zinedine Zidane, the Vikings have only seen happy days since his arrival. All the Madridistas tend to forget that Rafa Benitez ever came to manage Real Madrid after the Spanish giants sacked Carlos Ancelotti in 2015 to be replaced by the former Liverpool manager who nearly burnt Madrid to the ground. The Frenchman had achieved all as an individual with Real Madrid by lifting the Ballon d'Or and once being apart of an invincible team that consisted of players such as Brazilan Ronaldo, David Beckham and Roberto Carlos. Zidane led Madrid to the champions league in the 2015-2016 season by defeating their noisy neighbours Atletico Madrid and clinched the 2016-2017 champions league title by hammering the greatest defence in Europe, Juventus. Madrid's attack play danced around Buffon and his men in the finals to win by 4-1.

Real Madrid have not made any major changes to their squad despite speculations rumouring Ronaldo to leave the club regarding his taxes. Madrid let Danilho leave for Manchester City. James Rodriguez was sent on loan to Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich with a buyout clause and forward Alvora Morata made a move to Premier League champion's Chelsea. Zidane eyed a few youngsters as the Frenchman brought in Daniel Ceballos from Real Betis, Mario Hermoso from Espanyol and Theo Hernandez from neighbours Atletico Madrid.

Real Madrid defenders Fabio Coentrao returned home to Portugal to play for Sporting CP while Pepe left for Besiktas. All the La Liga clubs must be delighted to see the brawler leave and torment another league as Pepe is remembered for his short temper and outrageous brawling skills. FC Barcelona have witnessed the worst of Pepe in the El Clasico's that he made so special.

Zidane and his men are in their prime and will look to continue this form that will make the Los Blancos strong contenders to defend their title successfully for the third time this season. The only missing link to the Viking's list is the Treble. Real Madrid have not won the Treble yet which consists of the League title, Copa Del Ray title and UEFA Champions League title. Madridistas managed to clinch the league cup and UCL but the Copa Del Ray was snatched by arch rivals FC Barcelona.

Real Madrid play Valencia in the Santiago Bernabeu on August 28.
