New Delhi: Star Indian shuttler Saina Nehwal has regained the No.1 spot in the latest women's singles rankings released by the Badminton World Federation (BWF) on Thursday.
Saina pipped reigning Olympic champion Li Xuerui of China -- who dropped to No.2 -- to take the top spot.
The 25-year-old Saina has had a fantastic time in 2015 so far, where she won the Indian Open Grand Prix Gold, by defeating Carolina Marin in the finals, thereby becoming the first Indian shuttler after Prakash Padukone to become World No.1 and then became the first Indian women's badminton player to reach the finals of the All England Championships in London, where she succumbed to Marin this time around.
