Islamabad: The rival heads of Pakistan's Olympic body will meet with IOC officials in Switzerland this week in a bid to resolve the dispute.
Two retired army generals—Mohammad Akram Sahi and Arif Hasan—claim to head the Pakistan Olympic Association.
The International Olympic Committee still recognizes the organization headed by Hassan, not the “parallel body” led by Sahi.
Pakistan faces possible suspension by the IOC unless the situation is resolved.
Sahi claims Hasan can longer head the POA because he was elected for a third term, which is in defiance of Pakistan's Supreme Court orders. A clause in Pakistan's sports policy also states that an official cannot run for the same post for a third term.
The Pakistanis are set to meet with IOC officials in Lausanne on Friday.
